Award Winning Author Gin Coleman
is a story-telling tumbleweed who currently parks her trusty computer in Mississippi. It was said that the night she was born, her family reported a green light at the window and a crop circle in the back yard. After fifty years of working to make ends meet, Gin now spends most of her time writing 5-star fiction, playing games, and trying not to burn dinner. Her stories are filled with the life lessons she learned and showcase her connection with nature and her love of animals. Her novels have been translated in six languages and are available in print, ebook, and audible. Her debut historical romance series, Desert Born, was awarded the International Impact Award for a Romance series. The Akhal-Teke
The Akhal-Teke (alcol-tech’-ā) is a Turkmen horse breed with a reputation for speed, endurance, and intelligence, not unlike their Arabian cousins. What makes them truly unique is their coat with its distinctive metallic sheen. Nicknamed the “Golden Horses,” they are adapted to severe climatic conditions and thought to be one of the oldest existing horse breeds. And rarest. Most are in Turkmenistan, although they can be found in Europe and North America. Less than 7,000 Akhal-Tekes are known to exist in the world. (As far as anyone knows.)
Akhal is the name of a line of oases along the north slope of the Kopet Dag mountains, inhabited by the Tekke tribe of Turkmens.
